Hand-painted peacock ceiling, original to the house. Guests ask about it more than anything else here.
About this room
The Mor Room's ceiling was painted by a family artist in the 1970s — mor means peacock — and restored panel by panel in 2016. Lie back on the bed and it's all teal, gold and crimson above you.
It's the room guests photograph most and book first. The window looks over the courtyard's oldest tree, and the brass lamps were collected from the bazaar two streets away.
